- 4 cups corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for topping (like parsley or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the corn, heavy cream (or milk), sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Fold in 1 cup of shredded cheese and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and the remaining cheese in another bowl.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the corn mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh corn when in season. This dish can be customized with added spices or vegetables.
