- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chopped pecans

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool completely in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the heavy cream, caramel sauce, and sea salt, bringing it to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
- Place one layer of cake on a serving plate, drizzle with caramel sauce, and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
- Add the second layer of cake on top and repeat the caramel and pecan topping.
