Description

  • 34 lbs beef short ribs
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Season the ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar.
  2. Sear the ribs in olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side.
  3. Prepare your baking tray or slow cooker and place the seared ribs inside.
  4. Create the sauce by whisking together BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and beef broth in a bowl.
  5. Coat the ribs generously with the sauce, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Cover the baking tray with foil or secure the slow cooker lid and cook at 300°F for about 3 hours or 6–8 hours on low in the slow cooker.
  7. Caramelize the glaze for the last 20 minutes by removing the foil.
  8. Serve with extra sauce drizzled over the ribs.

Notes

Prepare the ribs a day in advance for deeper flavor. Consider using different meats or adjusting the spices for variation.
