A delightful twist on classic spaghetti, this Spaghetti Pie combines creamy cheeses, rich meat sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti, all baked into a golden-brown crust.

- 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked until al dente
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons mixed herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
- 1 pound ground beef or sausage
- 1 jar (about 24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Mix the cooked spaghetti with olive oil, ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and mixed herbs in a large bowl.
- Brown the ground meat in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat and add the marinara sauce; simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Layer half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased pie dish, pour in the meat sauce, then carefully layer the remaining spaghetti mixture on top.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serve.
Notes
Allow the dish to rest for about five minutes after baking to enhance flavor and texture. Customize by adding favorite veggies or using different cheeses.
