Ingredients

  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 34 ounces smoked salmon
  • Butter for spreading

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat until it warms up.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer with cheese, smoked salmon, and optional toppings.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese melts, about another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Remove from the skillet, let sit, cut in half, and serve warm.
