Ingredients

- 3–4 lbs baby back ribs or St. Louis-style ribs
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp paprika (smoked or sweet)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the ribs: Remove the membrane from the ribs and cut into smaller sections.
- Apply the rub: Mix together brown sugar and spices, and rub onto the ribs.
- Arrange and cook: Place rib sections in the slow cooker, brush BBQ sauce, cover, and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
- Sauce and caramelize: Remove the ribs and apply remaining BBQ sauce, broil for 3–5 minutes until bubbling.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prep ribs the night before to enhance flavors. Customize with different spices or BBQ sauces.
