- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract

- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk or heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare your bundt pan by greasing and flouring it thoroughly.
- Cream softened butter, shortening, and sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk (or heavy cream), and vanilla until smooth.
- Cool the cake for 10 minutes in the pan before inverting onto a wire rack and drizzling the glaze over it.
Notes
To deepen flavors, bake a day in advance and store covered at room temperature. For a quicker version, consider using an air fryer.
