Ingredients

- 1 full head garlic
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 100 g unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley (or fresh chopped)
- Optional: pinch of chili flakes or paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare the garlic head by cutting the top off and drizzling with olive oil.
- Wrap the garlic in aluminum foil.
- Place it in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes until soft and golden.
- Let the garlic cool, then squeeze the cloves into a bowl.
- Mash the roasted garlic until smooth.
- Incorporate the butter, salt, pepper, and herbs, mixing until creamy.
- Transfer the garlic butter to a jar or shape into a log and refrigerate.
