Description

A rich and creamy roasted garlic butter that enhances any dish with its savory and buttery flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 full head garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 100 g unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley (or fresh chopped)
  • Optional: pinch of chili flakes or paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the garlic head by cutting the top off and drizzling with olive oil.
  3. Wrap the garlic in aluminum foil.
  4. Place it in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes until soft and golden.
  5. Let the garlic cool, then squeeze the cloves into a bowl.
  6. Mash the roasted garlic until smooth.
  7. Incorporate the butter, salt, pepper, and herbs, mixing until creamy.
  8. Transfer the garlic butter to a jar or shape into a log and refrigerate.

Make ahead for up to two weeks in the fridge, or freeze for up to three months.
