- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract and crushed pineapple.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and crushed pineapple until smooth and creamy.
- Once cookies are completely cool, frost each cookie generously with the pineapple frosting.
