Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 yellow onion, wedged
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Steamed white rice, for serving
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Ginger, minced
  • Garlic, minced
  • Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  3. Sear the beef until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
  4. Add more oil if needed and toss in the bell peppers and onion.
  5. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
  6. Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
  7. Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  8. Serve over rice, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
