- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1 yellow onion, wedged
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Steamed white rice, for serving
- Soy sauce
- Sesame oil
- Ginger, minced
- Garlic, minced
- Cornstarch
Instructions
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
- Sear the beef until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
- Add more oil if needed and toss in the bell peppers and onion.
- Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
- Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
- Serve over rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
