Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast or brisket
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the beef generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the beef in a hot pot until golden brown on all sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the beef and sauté garlic and onion in the same pot until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the pot and add soy sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
  6. Serve over a bed of fluffy rice and garnish with fresh herbs.
