Description

A guilt-free dessert bursting with the flavors of spiced apples and warm cinnamon, freshened up with apples for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) sugar-free apple pie filling (or fresh peeled apples)
  • 1 ½ cups fresh apples, peeled and diced (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) sugar-free yellow cake mix
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar-free sweetener
  • 12 tablespoons butter, thinly sliced (or vegan butter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon generously over the apple layer.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar-free yellow cake mix evenly over the apple filling—do not stir.
  5. Distribute the butter slices over the top of the cake mix.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with sugar-free whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Can be prepared ahead of time.
