Description

A vibrant and flavorful dish featuring crispy baked tofu marinated in zesty lemon juice and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for at least 15-30 minutes.
  3. Cut the tofu into cubes for even cooking.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Marinate the tofu cubes in the marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Spread marinated tofu onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden-brown and crispy.
  8. Serve warm with salads, grain bowls, or wraps.

Notes

For the best flavor, allow the tofu to marinate longer. Customize herbs according to preference.
