  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 package Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
  • Additional ingredients required on package (typically milk, shredded cheddar cheese, and butter)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your baking dish.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Toss in the diced potatoes and frozen mixed vegetables, followed by the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir until evenly combined.
  6. Simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Transfer the beef mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Prepare the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix according to the package directions.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the casserole filling.
  10. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the biscuit topping.
  11. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  12. Remove from oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
