Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl until well combined.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Mix in the dry ingredients gradually until just combined.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan before frosting.
- Beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth for the frosting.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cookie bars and top with sprinkles.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute half the all-purpose flour with almond flour. Ensure butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
