- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large green bell pepper, diced
- 1 large red bell pepper, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat; break it apart with a spatula.
- Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper; cook for another 5-7 minutes until the onions are translucent.
- Melt in the cream cheese, stirring until fully combined.
- Assemble the casserole by spreading the beef and vegetable mixture in the skillet or a casserole dish; layer the provolone cheese on top.
- Bake for about 15 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
Notes
Feel free to customize by adding sautéed mushrooms or swapping provolone for cheddar. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
