Description
A nostalgic dish with tender meat cradled in a creamy sauce, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb tender meat (chicken, beef, or pork)
- 1 cup cream (or coconut milk for a lighter option)
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sear the meat: Heat your skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Sear the meat until golden brown.
- Sauté aromatics: Lower the heat, add more oil if needed, then sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- Deglaze the pan: Pour in broth and scrape the bottom to lift brown bits.
- Add cream and season: Stir in the cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer; season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Return the meat: Nestle the meat back in the sauce and simmer until cooked through.
- Finalize and serve: Taste and adjust seasoning as desired, then serve hot, garnished with herbs.
Notes
Perfect for meal prep; store sauce and meat separately in the refrigerator for up to three days. Could also use an air fryer for the meat.
