Description

A nostalgic dish with tender meat cradled in a creamy sauce, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb tender meat (chicken, beef, or pork)
  • 1 cup cream (or coconut milk for a lighter option)
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sear the meat: Heat your skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Sear the meat until golden brown.
  2. Sauté aromatics: Lower the heat, add more oil if needed, then sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Deglaze the pan: Pour in broth and scrape the bottom to lift brown bits.
  4. Add cream and season: Stir in the cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer; season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  5. Return the meat: Nestle the meat back in the sauce and simmer until cooked through.
  6. Finalize and serve: Taste and adjust seasoning as desired, then serve hot, garnished with herbs.

Notes

Perfect for meal prep; store sauce and meat separately in the refrigerator for up to three days. Could also use an air fryer for the meat.
