- 2 lbs Pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- 1 cup Barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Prepare the ribs by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
- Remove any membrane from the back of the ribs for optimal tenderness.
- Mix brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture generously over the ribs, coating every inch.
- Lay the ribs in the crockpot, fitting them upright or curled as needed.
- Pour the barbecue sauce over the ribs, ensuring even coating.
- Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 240-300 minutes until tender.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and broil for 3-4 minutes for a caramelized finish, if desired.
Notes
Season the ribs a day in advance for deeper flavors. Adjust cooking methods if you don’t have a crockpot.
