- 1 lb Chicken breast tenderloins
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- 19 oz Refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated
- 1/4 cup Fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Season and sear the chicken: Pat the chicken dry, rub with olive oil and seasonings, then cook in a heated skillet until golden brown.
- Cook the tortellini: Boil salted water and cook tortellini until they float, about 3-4 minutes. Reserve some pasta water and drain.
- Create the creamy sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, add chicken broth and cream, then whisk in parmesan until smooth.
- Combine and serve: Toss tortellini in the sauce, add parsley, layer the seared chicken on top, and garnish with more parsley.
Notes
For make-ahead tips, store the tortellini and chicken separately, and combine with sauce right before serving.
