- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil in a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, then add the sliced mushrooms.
- Sauté until soft and tender, about 5-7 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Combine the cottage cheese and half of the shredded Swiss cheese in a mixing bowl, blending well.
- Layer half of the cottage cheese mixture at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Add the sautéed mushrooms, distributing them evenly over the cottage cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining cottage cheese mixture, spreading it out evenly.
- Finish with a sprinkle of the remaining Swiss cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
