- 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat the heavy cream and minced garlic in a saucepan over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Grease a baking dish with butter and layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Pour half of the garlic cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the first layer.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
- Dot the top with butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving and garnish with parsley.
