- 1 frozen pie crust
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 3 tbsp strawberry jelly
- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the frozen pie crust according to the directions on the package. Once baked, let it cool completely.
- Combine the sugar, cornstarch, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk well until fully integrated.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes until thickened into a syrupy consistency.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the strawberry jelly until well combined. Allow to cool.
- Layer the sliced strawberries over the cooled pie crust, then pour the cooled sugar mixture over the strawberries.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours to set properly before slicing.
Notes
For optimal flavor, use fresh strawberries. Consider adding lemon zest for a citrusy kick.
