Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil and ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes, draining excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water, allowing the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually add vegetable oil and milk to form a dough and knead until soft.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface, cutting into circles about 4–5 inches wide.
- Fry each dough circle in hot oil over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove fried shells and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Assemble chalupas with seasoned beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and sour cream.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
