Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line three baking trays with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl, then whisk until combined.
- Cream the softened butter with white and brown sugars until fluffy and light in color.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Combine the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Shape the dough into 2- or 3-inch balls, placing them on the baking sheets with space between each.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers are soft but set.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
