- ¼ cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup lemon juice (fresh is best)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease your bundt or loaf pan.
- Combine the cake mix, cake flour, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- Blend together the eggs, sour cream, butter, oil, and water in a separate bowl using an electric mixer until smooth.
- Incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture gradually, mixing just until combined.
- Finish with the vanilla, almond extract, and butter flavoring, folding gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice for the glaze while the cake cools.
- Invert the cake onto a wire rack after cooling for 10 minutes and drizzle the glaze generously over the top.
