Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cake:
    • 1 box of yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 cup water
  • For the Cheesecake Layer:
    • 2 packages of cream cheese (8 oz each), softened
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Strawberry Layer:
    • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and water. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
  5. Spread the cake batter evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the cake batter, swirling gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  7. Evenly distribute the sugared strawberries on top of the cheesecake layer.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
