A comforting Sweet Potato Pie with a creamy filling made from mashed sweet potatoes and sweetened condensed milk, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz / ~395g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the mashed sweet potatoes, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Transfer the filling into the prepared pie crust, smoothing it out.
  4. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool the pie at room temperature before serving.

Notes

The filling can be prepared a day in advance. Store it in the refrigerator before pouring into the pie crust just before baking.
