Description

A delightful jam combining the sweetness of strawberries with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for enhancing your culinary creations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped jalapeños (seeded for less heat)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Combine strawberries, jalapeños, and lemon juice in a large pot. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
  2. Stir in the sugar and let it boil for 1-2 minutes until fully dissolved.
  3. Add the fruit pectin gradually, stirring thoroughly to avoid lumps. Return to a rolling boil for about 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat and pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, filling them almost to the top.
  5. Wipe the rims clean and seal tightly. Allow to cool completely before refrigerating.

Notes

Make in larger batches and store in the refrigerator for several weeks or process in a water bath for longer storage.
