Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped jalapeños (seeded for less heat)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin
Instructions
- Combine strawberries, jalapeños, and lemon juice in a large pot. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
- Stir in the sugar and let it boil for 1-2 minutes until fully dissolved.
- Add the fruit pectin gradually, stirring thoroughly to avoid lumps. Return to a rolling boil for about 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, filling them almost to the top.
- Wipe the rims clean and seal tightly. Allow to cool completely before refrigerating.
Notes
Make in larger batches and store in the refrigerator for several weeks or process in a water bath for longer storage.
