    • 1 large egg
  • For the Strawberry Layer:
    • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with sugar and lemon juice, allowing them to macerate for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the yellow cake mix evenly across the bottom.
  5. Pour the melted butter and water over the cake mix, do not stir.
  6. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the cake mix layer.
  7. Top with the macerated strawberries, spreading them evenly.
