- 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sausage. Cook thoroughly, breaking apart with a spoon until browned (about 8-10 minutes).
- In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the sausage, stirring to combine.
- Add the cooked pasta into the skillet, tossing well to coat. Add reserved pasta water if the mix is too dry.
- Season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with chopped parsley.
