Description

A comforting skillet meal featuring pasta coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce with savory sausage, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sausage. Cook thoroughly, breaking apart with a spoon until browned (about 8-10 minutes).
  3. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the sausage, stirring to combine.
  4. Add the cooked pasta into the skillet, tossing well to coat. Add reserved pasta water if the mix is too dry.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve in bowls, garnished with chopped parsley.
