Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Green sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
  7. Spread the dough into the prepared pan and top with green sprinkles if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
