- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 cups chocolate chips
- Green sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- Spread the dough into the prepared pan and top with green sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
These cookie bars can be made a day in advance and stored at room temperature. Feel free to customize with nuts or different types of chocolate.
