Ingredients

Scale
  • Noodles: 2 packs of instant ramen noodles
  • Beef: 1 lb of sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • Marinade:
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Broth:
    • 4 cups beef broth
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
    • 1 tsp ginger, grated
    • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Creamy Sauce:
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tbsp lime juice
    • 1 tsp sriracha (optional)
  • Toppings:
    • 2 green onions, sliced
    • 1 boiled egg, halved
    • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients and add the sliced beef. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a pot, bring the beef broth to a simmer over medium heat. Add soy sauce, gochugaru, ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the creamy sauce ingredients until smooth.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the broth and stir to combine. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Serve the ramen in bowls, topped with grilled beef, creamy sauce, green onions, boiled egg, and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • This dish can be made ahead by marinating the beef and preparing the broth in advance. Store separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Leftover ramen can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove.
