- Beef: 1 lb of sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- Marinade:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Broth:
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Creamy Sauce:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp sriracha (optional)
- Toppings:
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 boiled egg, halved
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients and add the sliced beef. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- In a pot, bring the beef broth to a simmer over medium heat. Add soy sauce, gochugaru, ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the creamy sauce ingredients until smooth.
- Add the cooked noodles to the broth and stir to combine. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Serve the ramen in bowls, topped with grilled beef, creamy sauce, green onions, boiled egg, and sesame seeds.
Notes
- This dish can be made ahead by marinating the beef and preparing the broth in advance. Store separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Leftover ramen can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove.
- For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with grilled tofu and use vegetable broth.
