Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (if frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat oil for frying.
  2. Combine crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar, breadcrumbs, Cajun seasoning, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized poppers.
  4. Fry them in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, or bake for 15-20 minutes on a lined baking sheet.

Notes

You can make the mixture a day in advance. Avoid overmixing to maintain the crab’s texture.
