  • 1/2 cup spiced apple butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and cinnamon to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the spiced apple butter evenly over the surface.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Mix powdered sugar with milk to create icing and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
