Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and generously grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl using a mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Crack in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the mashed sweet potato, sour cream, Southern Comfort, and vanilla extract.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 60-75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Whisk together the powdered sugar, Southern Comfort, and heavy cream in a bowl for the glaze.
  10. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack, then drizzle with the glaze.
