Ingredients

  • 1 can (10 oz) diced green chiles
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Sear the chicken in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Transfer the seared chicken to the slow cooker.
  5. Add diced green chiles and chicken broth to the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Shred the chicken once cooked and return it to the pot.
