A delicious and crispy shrimp po’ boy sandwich served with a tangy remoulade sauce, perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Lettuce, shredded
- Tomato, sliced
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Coat the marinated shrimp in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Assemble the po’ boys by placing shrimp in hoagie rolls, adding lettuce and tomato.
- Serve with remoulade sauce on the side or drizzled on top.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double fry the shrimp.
- Adjust the spice level by modifying the cayenne pepper.
- Serve with pickles for added flavor.
