Description
Delicious and comforting shrimp fried rice, made with fresh vegetables, tender shrimp, and savory sauces.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the skillet: Start by heating sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, letting them sizzle to rosy pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the vegetables: Toss in mixed vegetables and sauté them until they soften and brighten, around 2-3 minutes.
- Scramble the eggs: Push the vegetables to one side, pour in the beaten eggs, let them cook briefly before scrambling until fluffy.
- Combine elements: Return the shrimp, add cold rice, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir well and heat through completely.
- Finish up: Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle green onions on top before serving.
Notes
For the best results, use chilled, day-old rice to prevent clumping. Customize with your favorite proteins or vegetables.
