Description
Shakshuka with Feta is a delicious and hearty dish made with poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce, topped with creamy feta cheese.

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and red bell pepper, and sauté until softened.
- Stir in the minced garlic, cumin, and paprika, cooking for another minute.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Make small wells in the sauce and crack an egg into each well.
- Cover the skillet and cook until the eggs are set to your liking.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
- Adjust the spice level by adding chili flakes if desired.
- This dish can be made in advance and reheated.
