Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl and set aside.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, making sure each is well combined before adding the next.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Fold in the caramel sauce, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
- Drop generous mounds of dough on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each dough mound.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are light golden brown and centers are slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For even baking, you can chill the dough for 30 minutes before scooping. Store in an airtight container for 3-5 days or freeze for longer storage.
