Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, roasted
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the sliced mushrooms until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. On the unbuttered side, spread roasted garlic evenly.
  5. Add sautéed mushrooms and top with Swiss cheese.
  6. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
