Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sugar and corn syrup, stirring until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the Rice Krispies until well coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
  5. In another saucepan, melt the caramel candies with the heavy cream over low heat until smooth.
  6. Pour the caramel over the Rice Krispies layer and spread evenly.
  7. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler and pour over the caramel layer.
  8. Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
