Description

A delicious and spicy Piri Piri Grilled Chicken & Halloumi Burger that combines the flavors of grilled chicken and halloumi cheese for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 200g halloumi cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Piri Piri sauce
  • 2 burger buns
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in Piri Piri sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  4. Slice the halloumi cheese and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burger by placing the grilled chicken on the bottom bun, followed by halloumi, lettuce, and tomato.
  7. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by using more or less Piri Piri sauce.
  • Serve with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal.
