- 8 slices of bread, cubed
- 4 cups of fresh peaches, sliced
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- Butter for greasing the dish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish generously with butter.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the cubed bread and sliced peaches, gently folding them into the custard.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the brown sugar evenly on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
