  • Cheddar Cheese: 2 cups, shredded
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Onion: 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato Sauce: 2 cups
  • Italian Seasoning: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the browned ground beef to the skillet, mixing in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the beef mixture, half of the bacon, and a third of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat the layering process, finishing with a final layer of noodles topped with remaining tomato sauce and cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
