- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and crushed Oreos, then sprinkle over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- For the frosting, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and spread over warm rolls.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of skim milk.
- Feel free to add more crushed Oreos for extra crunch.
- These rolls are best served warm.
