Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add chicken to the pan and cook until browned on both sides.
  4. In a bowl, mix honey and BBQ sauce, then pour over the chicken.
  5. Add rice and chicken broth to the pan, stirring to combine.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until rice is cooked.
  7. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
