Delicious and spooky Monster Cupcakes perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- Green and purple food coloring
- 1 cup buttercream frosting
- Candy eyes and other decorations
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Divide the batter into two bowls and add green food coloring to one and purple to the other.
- Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of each colored batter into the cupcake liners, swirling them together slightly.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- Frost the cupcakes with buttercream frosting and decorate with candy eyes and other spooky decorations.
Notes
- For a more intense color, add more food coloring as desired.
- Feel free to use any decorations you like to make the cupcakes more festive.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
