  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Grease a muffin tin and spoon the mac and cheese mixture into each cup.
