Description

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts and fluffy orzo pasta, enveloped in a rich Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the same skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, bring to a gentle simmer and deglaze the pan.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Cook orzo according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  6. Serve the chicken and sauce over a bed of orzo, garnished with fresh parsley.
